Has performed in several National and International Music Festivals.

Has made some valuable recordings on the Zither.

Currently is a teacher of Tranh Zither in HCMC. Conservatory.

Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong began to become acquainted with the Dan Tranh at the age of five and was admitted to the Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City two years later. After nine years of study she passed her Dan Tranh Diploma and her Superior Diploma five years later. A "Silver Medalist" at Ho Chi Minh City's 1989 Festival of Singers, Dancers and Professional Musicians. First prizewinner at the Vietnamese National Young Talent Competition in 1992 on the Dan Tranh. First prizewinner for her interpretation pf new copositions. Hai Phuong has performed in many concerts in Japan, China, Thai Land, Belgium, France, Hong Kong, etc... Besides, her CD with Prof. Tran Van Khe, recorded in 1993 in Paris, was awarded a special prize; judged by prestige musician group of the world.

Hai Phuong got married in Sep 2000 and had her first daughter in May 2004 -- Her name is Nguyen Hai Minh.
